Get discounted deals on goods and services in your city
LivingSocial is service that you can check every day for special deals and offers in your city.
The system works by businesses signing up to the service, and then LivingSocial forwards you a selection of deals daily via email, which you can take advantage of either by using the website or via LivingSocial's apps for iPhone and Android. There are 'escapes', for travel deals and 'daily deals', which could be anything from cut price club entry to a discounted Brazilian blow dry.
If you sign up for a LivingSocial account you can email offers to your friends, and if three use your link to buy the deal, you get yours free. The site itself couldn't be simpler - the interface is a piece of cake to navigate and is very attractive.
The downside of LivingSocial is simply that it doesn't cover all cities yet, although more are being added. The other issue is that you are always restricted to the offers on LivingSocial for that day - there is no search, and you can't refine the kind of deals you want to receive.
If you're an avid bargain hunter, LivingSocial might just be the site for you.

Living social.
I briught an item from living social last month, when it arrived it wasn't as described on the website. I requested a refund on 31/05/12 and was told this would be in my bank within 3-5 working days. I am still waiting for the money 17 days later. I have called and chased this and still awaiting a call back from 2 days ago. This company is dreadful and would tell everyone to avoid if possible. When I call to speak to customer services the phone rings for 15-20 mins before anyone even picks up,when questioned on this I'm told they are very busy. Come on what kind of customer service is that? Stay away.!!!! More

unable to obtain refund for voucher .
I bought a voucher through Living social for discounted window cleaning. When I contacted the company (WCS) to use the voucher they told me that there catchment area didn't include our town: Twickenham, When I pointed out to them that their website clearly indicated that our area was included in their domestic catchment area they told me that information displayed was incorrect and hadn't been updated for 2 years because they hadn't had the time to do so. !!! I then emailed livingsocial (who promise refund within 7 days) to explain the situation asking them to refund the money I'd paid<.. Their website promises a prompt reply to any queries and yet after sending them 3 emails and waiting 4 days I've had no response from them....so won't be using their company again and would advise against anyone else making the same mistake.
Pros:
none that I'm aware of
Cons:
appalling customer service. More
